Ian began his journey in fine art in 2002 and held his first exhibition in Melbourne in July 2004 and his second in December of the same year.

During March and April of 2005 he had an exhibition of work at the famous Convent Gallery in Daylesford.

In April 2005 Ian was selected to exhibit at the prestigious Sausalito Art Festival in San Francisco in August/September of the same year. As a result of that show he now has works in private collections in Bologna, Italy as well as Chicago, Seattle, Wichita, Portland (Oregon), Sausalito, Point Richmond, Point Reyes and San Francisco.

Together with six international award winning artists, Ian exhibited on board a six star luxury liner, (Crystal Harmony) cruising from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in November 2005.

His second exhibition at the Convent Gallery in Daylesford was of new work and was held during October, 2009. Four months later, in February 2010 he exhibited at the Narelle Byrne Gallery in Kew.

Manyung Gallery, Sorrento held an exhibition of Ian’s work in November, 2014 and he is currently preparing work for two exhibitions for 2015, one in August and the next in November.
